Janette Delinger, RDH, MS

Janette received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. She was anxious to continue to grow and develop herself so she decided, after being in clinical practice for over 20 years, to pursue a Master of Science degree in Dental Hygiene Education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. This allowed her the opportunity to work in professional education and cover a large 12 state region in the Midwest for over 10 years.

Not only did she work with dental and dental hygiene students and faculty, but she also provided continuing education presentations to dental professionals at local, state, national, and international conferences. Professional education is also where she received extensive training in coaching and helping patients change their behaviors to improve their oral and overall health.

She has held many leadership roles, including a term as a Trustee for the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Being a Trustee working with leadership from the 5 states in her District, honed her skills and developed her passion for coaching and empowering others. She has also been a leader and volunteer for the Kansas Mission of Mercy events where she has worked in many roles since 2003 and also participated in TeamSmile events in the KC Metro area. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Oral Health Coalition for five years. Working with and helping others is in her nature! Outside of her active career, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling (especially cruising), and reading a good book every now and then.
